Every year in Poland, tragedies occur that should never happen. Just last year, there were as many as 1,741 road accidents involving children. 50 of them did not survive, and 1,838 were injured. Behind each of these numbers lies unimaginable pain – a childhood cut short by suffering, families torn apart by tragedy, years of treatment and rehabilitation. That's why every year the Great Maluch Expedition sets out – a unique initiative that’s not just about covering miles, but about offering real help to the youngest victims of road accidents. This year, once again, the Przelewy24 team was honored to be part of this extraordinary journey. We want to share with you why this project will remain in our hearts forever.

Small cars – big hearts

On July 1st, 98 Fiat 126ps departed from the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw. Maluchs – iconic cars, modest yet full of character – symbolically carried the message that even a seemingly small vehicle can lead to great change. Each team drove with children in mind – not for competition, but for hope. Over the course of 17 days, the expedition covered more than 5,000 kilometers, visiting 6 countries: Poland, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Emotions, breakdowns, smiles and tears – everything real happened right there – on the road, between stops, where local communities welcomed participants with open arms.

Together we can do more

This year, teams competed not for time, but for... engagement. Under the slogan “Can for the Kids”, each team ran its own fundraiser for children affected by accidents. Our joint team – “Fundacja Donateo, Przelewy24, PeP and Radio MEGA for Children” – raised nearly 400,000 PLN. That’s just part of our joint success – in total, the expedition has already raised nearly 4 million PLN for children. Every zloty is not just financial support, but also hope for families who, from one day to the next, faced the greatest challenge of their lives.

More than aid – also education and prevention

The Great Maluch Expedition is much more than a fundraiser. It’s also a social campaign that reminds us how important it is to educate both children and adults about road safety. Thanks to the Young&Safe project, children can learn traffic rules in safe conditions – in a mobile town, under the supervision of specialists. Awareness and prevention are what can reduce the number of accidents in the future. That’s why, as Przelewy24, we’re proud to support not only treatment but also long-term actions.

From a participant's perspective – Michał Bzowy’s voice holds power

“This was a journey that touched me personally – not only as a manager, but above all as a human being and a father.”

Every day on the road was proof that people possess incredible strength when the goal truly matters. I spoke with other participants, with parents, with children... and I feel that every kilometer traveled, every gesture, every zloty made a difference. For us at Przelewy24, participating in the Great Expedition was not just a partnership decision to join a project – it was a social decision, responsible, significant, and carefully considered. Today, seeing how close we are to 4 million PLN, I feel pride and immense gratitude. Helping children after accidents is not a one-time action. It’s our shared responsibility.”Michał Bzowy, Vice President of the Management Board of Przelewy24

This is just the beginning

Today, as we reflect on this expedition, we feel grateful for having been part of something so genuine. Thank you for every conversation on the road and every kilometer traveled with children in mind. Thank you to every individual and company who contributed to the fundraiser, shared the campaign, or simply kept us in their thoughts. This campaign and journey are far from over – they continue, as long as accidents still rob children of their health and sometimes their lives. That’s why we’re not stopping – we continue to support, we continue to act, we believe in making a difference.

One word: gratitude

As Przelewy24, we are proud to have been part of the Great Maluch Expedition 2025. This experience changes more than your perspective – it changes who you are. We are approaching the symbolic milestone of 4 million PLN for children who need it most. Every – even the smallest – gesture brings us closer to that finish line. We believe that together we can truly do more. Every child deserves to live, play, dream – without pain, without fear, in safety. If we can help make that happen, even a little – this is our most important path.
