This information concerns the cookies used on websites administered by PayPro S.A. with its registered seat in Poznań (Pastelowa 8, 60-198).

Cookie files

Cookies are IT data stored in the memory of end devices (computer, laptop, tablet, phone), sent by websites. These files enable identification of the end device to ensure correct display of the website, adapted to individual user preferences. The data collected automatically are mainly statistical data, IP address and other device identification numbers.

Cookies used

There are two types of cookies used on the websites managed by PayPro – "session" cookies and "persistent" cookies. Session cookies are temporary files that are deleted when the software enabling the use of PayPro services is switched off. Persistent cookies are stored in the memory of the end device until they are manually deleted by the browser user or until they expire as specified in the their functional parameters. 

Furthermore, we can divide cookies into the following categories depending on the purpose for which cookies are used:

1. necessary: they contribute to the usability of the website by enabling basic features, such as site navigation and access to secure areas of the website; the website cannot work properly without these cookies.
2. preference: they enable the website to remember information which changes the appearance or functioning of the website, for example the preferred language or the region in which the user is located.
3. analytical: they help website owners understand how different users behave on the site by collecting and reporting anonymous information.
4. marketing: they are used for tracking individual users on websites to display advertising that is relevant and interesting to them, and therefore, more valuable to third party publishers and advertisers.

Purpose of using cookies 

The main purpose of using cookies is to ensure the continuous use of the website and to adapt the content of the websites to the preferences of their user. PayPro also uses cookies for its own purposes, such as collecting anonymous statistics to improve the functionality of the website. Moreover, on the websites managed by PayPro there are marketing cookies enabling the display of ads which are tailored to the users' needs.

Legal basis for processing cookies and how long they are stored

PayPro processes strictly necessary cookies (i.e. cookies which are absolutely necessary for the proper functioning of the website, including maintaining the session after logging in) based on the legitimate interest of the controller (Article  6 (1) (f) of the GDPR). Strictly necessary cookies are stored for 1 day from the moment they are saved.

PayPro processes preference cookies which enable saving the website settings selected by the user, making the use of the website more efficient. These cookies are processed based on the User's voluntary consent (Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR. 

PayPro processes analytical cookies (they enable the creation of anonymous statistics that allow better understanding of user preferences and, through their analysis, improve and develop functionalities) based on the User's voluntary consent (Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR). Analytical cookies, depending on their specific type, are stored for the duration of the session or for a maximum of 2 years from the date of collection.

PayPro processes marketing cookies (which enable the display of advertisements which are tailored to the user's preferences) based on the User's voluntary consent (Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR). Marketing cookies are stored only for the duration of the session, that is, until the website managed by PayPro is closed.

Before entering the websites managed by PayPro, you may grant your consent to saving preference, analytical and marketing cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are saved automatically, as their absence may adversely affect selected functionalities of the websites.
