We are of course saddened by the escalating crisis in Ukraine. We are following the situation very closely and over the past few weeks we have been preparing for a possible escalation of the conflict. As provider of mission-critical services and infrastructures across Europe, we already have several precautionary measures in place to mitigate potential operational impact.
The international schemes (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB) have announced that they will suspend transactions initiated with payment cards issued in Russia, and Russian domestic transactions with cards issued outside Russia. As scheme acquirer and issuing service provider we will take the required steps to enforce this decision.
We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves. In close collaboration with relevant authorities we will immediately take any additional actions needed to ensure the safety of our people, to adhere to sanctions, and to maintain business continuity.
