On Thursday, February 5, 2026, we organized a unique online culinary workshop that brought together 190 participants from various parts of Poland. The event was held on the MS Teams platform, lasted over 3 hours, and was led by Michał Kurek, owner and Head Chef of Foodie City Warsaw.
Team Building in the Spirit of Next Level Together
This was already another edition of our online culinary workshops – you could say they’ve become a true tradition! 😊 This year, for the first time, employees from both Przelewy24 and Polskie ePłatności (both part of the Nexi Group in Poland) participated together in the workshop under the synergy theme Next Level Together.
About the Host: Michał Kurek
Michał Kurek specializes in culinary teambuilding – uniting teams through cooking. His motto is:
“Food is serious business, but cooking is fun and joy – you should play with food, enjoy it, and that will be reflected in both the flavors of the dishes and your relationships with others.”
He is a great enthusiast of Thai cuisine and Southeast Asia. A culinary traveler in search of knowledge and new flavors.
Workshop Menu: Modern Polish Cuisine
Participants received pre-delivered packages with all the necessary ingredients – delivered in refrigerated trucks in the morning or by courier during the day – which allowed us to prepare together three unique dishes inspired by modern Polish cuisine:
- Root & Smoke – beet tartare with goat cheese or smoked tofu, infused with smoke
- Forest & Earth – dumplings filled with potato and mushrooms, served with edible soil
- Screwed-up Apples + Heat – baked apples with crumble and horseradish-vanilla cream
Building Community Around a Shared Table
The workshop was not only an opportunity to learn new culinary techniques but above all a chance to connect and have fun – many employees joined in larger groups, cooking together with their families.
“The culinary workshop was absolutely fantastic! It’s such a big plus that the company organizes events like this – especially in remote work, where everyday life often revolves around screens and emails. They’re a great way to break the routine, provide a chance for creative fun in the kitchen, and most importantly, build a sense of community. Even though we’re spread across Poland, cooking together, sharing laughs and impressions made me feel much closer to the team. We’re looking forward to the next edition!”
