This year’s „E-commerce in Poland” is already the 10th edition. This time, the publication was enhanced by the Medipanel research data and expert knowledge of the specialists working under the IAB Polska E-commerce Working Group.
New conclusions on Gemius research
- The rate of Internet users who declare shopping online has stabilized and is currently 77%
- The most frequently selected payment methods are: online transfer through a payment web service (selected by the same number of consumers as in the last year, i.e. 70%) and BLIK, which was ranked second (58%, compared to 48% in the last year). Online card payment (43%) was ranked among the top three most popular payment methods.;
- As many as 12% of the respondents have already used the deferred payment option;
- For the first time in history, the smartphone has turned out to be more popular than the laptop computer in the category of the electronic devices used most frequently in the process of e-shopping. While last year m-commerce was particularly popular with young respondents, nowadays it appears to be a general trend.
