Once again, Przelewy24 is a partner of the Chamber of Digital Commerce report “Płatności Cyfrowe 2020” (eng."Digital Payments 2020") prepared by GoMobi.pl.
The fifth edition of the publication coverst payments in the pandemic era and the dynamic growth of e-commerce.
Customers in Poland buy and spend more and more money in online stores. Currently, 25% of buyers are more willing to shop online than before the coronavirus. Invariably, for several years, the most popular e-payment method has been a fast online bank transfer (Pay-by-Link). BLIK is still gaining popularity, with the highest year on year growth. Polish people are open to technological innovations, which is confirmed by the growing interest in electronic wallets, such as Apple Pay or Google Pay.
– The analysis of the report results shows a dynamic growth of e-commerce and confirms some habits and preferences of shoppers – theirs attachment to favourite payment methods. However, as predicted, Covid-19 has contributed to a decline of cash on delivery payments in favour of e-payments. Perhaps the pandemic has only sped up some of the processes that would have emerged anyway as a result of the natural expansion of online channels. E-commerce is developing dynamically on many levels, it is worth following these changes in order to better adapt the offer to the needs of the e-market – says Magdalena Grablewska, Marketing Manager Przelewy24.
